Descrizione: This thesis addresses the estimation of thermo-physical properties of casting powders as an inverse heat conduction problem. Starting from experimental temperature measurements obtained during sintering and melting processes, the work will focus on the formulation, analysis, and numerical solution of an inverse heat transfer problem aimed at reconstructing unknown material properties. Particular attention will be given to the well-posedness, stability, and sensitivity of the solution with respect to measurement noise. The study may include the development of regularization techniques, parameter identification methods, and their validation against experimental data, with the goal of bridging mathematical modeling and industrial applications.
