Optimization of Biomass Gasification for Sustainable Energy Production
The transition to renewable energy sources is one of the key challenges of modern energy research. My team and I focus on biomass gasification as a method of converting organic materials, such as wood and straw, into fuel gases and energy. Our work involves the study and optimization of the gasification process using a gasifier and a linear mirror to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
We conduct experimental research using real pilot-scale gasification systems. Through controlled experiments, we collect and analyze data to optimize the process, particularly under conditions of low-temperature gasification with an increased air supply. The goal is to improve energy yield while maintaining efficiency and environmental sustainability.
One of the significant advantages of our approach is its carbon neutrality. Since biomass (such as wood) absorbs CO₂ during its growth, its combustion or gasification does not contribute additional carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, making it a greener alternative to fossil fuels.
Our research contributes to the development of clean energy solutions by improving the efficiency of biomass-based fuel production while minimizing carbon emissions. The results of our work can be applied in renewable energy systems to promote sustainable energy production and reduce dependence on non-renewable resources.
