Toward Metaheuristics Explainability and Comparability
Metaheuristics are high-level problem-independent strategies to efficiently explore the search space and find near-optimal solutions. Even though several applications have reported successful results, metaheuristics are associated with a set of criticisms involving explainability, replicability, and comparability.
The aim of my research is to explore and evaluate methods in the field of metaheuristics to enhance and guarantee the transparency of the search processes. The objectives also include the development of methodological, conceptual, and practical tools.
