Program:

Sobolev Spaces are the basis of the modern theory of variational differential equations. The Sobolev spaces occur in a wide range of questions including, for instance, differential geometry, harmonic analysis, engineering, mechanics, and physics.

Verification: Possible seminar on proposed/assigned specific argument

Prerequisites: Banach and Hilbert spaces, Frechét Differential calculus, distributional derivatives
