Research Project
Algebraic methods in quantum theory
The Ph.D, project is dedicated to developing algebraic methods and their application to contemporary quantum theory. In particular, some possible lines of research include studying classical and quantum integrability in the coalgebra symmetry approach. The coalgebra symmetry approach is a powerful algebraic method to build classes of integrable models in N dimensions. The goal of the Ph.D. project is to develop the method and apply it to modern models in quantum theory and gravity. Possible tasks include:
- to apply the method in the discrete-time setting;
- to characterize and classify the (quantum) deformations of Lie algebras in lower dimensions;
- to construct the classical and quantum superintegrable systems associated with the deformed Lie algebras, using the coalgebra symmetry approach;
- to apply the construction to relevant physical problems, such as the dynamics of interacting particles on non-commutative spaces.
